A train ticket is required for every adult and child wanting to ride on Woody.

All aboard for the Gypsy Wood Express! You can enjoy a magical ride on Woody’s Train through part of the park for almost ¾ km. The train and track has been specially made for us here at Gypsy Wood Park by Cromar White, and it’s a 10¼” gauge tear drop railway with turn table. Woody’s Train is powered by a green and pollution free electric motor and it takes up to 24 passengers.

*Woody’s Train ride is £2.50 per person and can be added on the tickets page. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Train ticket & time will be given on arrival.

Tickets for Woody’s Train are LIMITED. Please book your Woody’s ticket online to avoid any disappointment.

Woody’s Train is one of the happiest and most loved rides at Gypsy Wood. For many years, Woody has been chugging along, giving lots of smiles and laughter to children and families.
But after so many adventures, Woody is starting to feel a little tired. His track is getting old, and over the next few years it will need to be completely replaced so he can keep running safely.
Replacing the track is a very big job, and as a small family business, we need a little help to make it happen. That is why we now ask for a small extra charge to ride on Woody’s Train.
Every penny from your ticket goes into the Save Woody Fund, which helps us fix the track and keep Woody running for many more magical journeys.

Gypsy Wood’s ‘G’ scale garden railway is a long established favourite with visitors of all ages, having been built at the beginning in 2004 and substantially expanded and modified since then. A variety of model trains running on over half a kilometre of track. They travel over and under bridges, go through tunnels and pass lots of buildings that are all placed in a beautiful garden setting which includes a quarry, mountain railway, large central station and a long bridge over a pond.

Kids aged 9 to 90 will love the interactive play buttons so they can move Thomas the Tank engine and his friends.

Can you master or Mini Digger attraction?

Big kids and little ones aged 4+ will love taking the controls and getting digging!

Our small indoor play area features a couple of slides, coin operated diggers and a fun construction zone for little builders.

Can you reach the stars? Of course you can with our in-ground trampolines. Come and see how high you can jump!

Make some magical music in our fantastical melodic hide-away. You’ll find drums, bongos, maracas, croaking frogs and more in the musical tree-house.

There’s nothing fishy about this fun game – use the magnetic poles to see if you can catch some colourful fish.

Play hide-and-seek and explore underground in our fantastic new fun tunnels. Who will be first out of the other side?

Gypsy Wood Park is home to lots of friendly animals who love living here — and they are always excited to meet new friends!

Come and say hello to our:
Mini Hereford cows, Shetland ponies, sheep, alpacas, donkey, goats, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, deer, chickens, and birds.

During peak season, there are plenty of animal activities to enjoy, such as Meet the Bunnies and Pony Grooming, giving children the chance to get up close and learn more about our animals.

To keep our animals happy and healthy:

Please do not bring picnics or eat food in or near animal contact areas.

Thank you for helping us look after our animals — they can’t wait to meet you!

Follow the giant’s huge footsteps through the Willow Walk, all the way to the lakeside picnic area and lakeside walk.

Keep your eyes open as you go, and don’t forget to stop and sit in the Giant’s Chair — if you dare!

Race around our pedal go-kart track, complete with a fun climbing spider web for little adventurers to enjoy.

You will also find our yummy ice cream hut here — the perfect treat after all that pedalling!

The ice cream hut is open during holiday times only.

Gypsy Wood’s resident Fairy Princess.  Come and pay her a visit to see if she can grant your wishes.

If you would especially like to meet the Fairy Princess then please call us to check in advance if she’s in! (Certain days only).

On your marks, duck, GO! You’ll have to find your muscles to pump, pump, pump the water before shooting your duck from the starting blocks. Who’ll be the winner!
